Mantras for Protection
Mantras and sacred prayers traditionally associated with courage, refuge, inner steadiness and divine protection. Choose a chant that helps you return to faith when the mind feels fearful or unsettled.
Protection here describes a devotional relationship, not a guarantee: these are the verses tradition has reached for in fear, at nightfall and before a difficult day. The collection holds several kinds of sacred text — dhyana shlokas, stutis, nama mantras and stotra verses — not only kavachas.
A mantra may support more than one intention; the line under each chant explains why it has been included here.
