Meaning
“I bow to Lord Narasimha — the powerful, heroic, and all-pervading form of Mahavishnu. He shines with divine light in all directions. He is fearsome to darkness and negativity, yet auspicious and protective for devotees. He is the death of death itself. To such Lord Narasimha, I offer my humble salutations.”
About this mantra
The mantra “Om Ugram Veeram Mahaa Vishnum” is one of the most powerful and sacred mantras dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the protective avatar of Lord Vishnu. Lord Narasimha is traditionally worshipped as the remover of fear, destroyer of negativity, and protector of devotees. This mantra is often chanted for courage, protection, inner strength, removal of fear and anxiety, and freedom from negative energy. The words describe Lord Narasimha as powerful, heroic, radiant in all directions, auspicious for devotees, and the one who conquers even death itself. Listening to this powerful Narasimha mantra is traditionally believed to support spiritual courage, mental calmness, emotional release, protection from fear, and peaceful sleep.
How to use it
Play this chant softly as you lie down for sleep, or in the quiet of early morning. Dim the lights, breathe slowly, and let the sound repeat without effort — there is nothing to do but listen. You may chant along under your breath, or simply rest in Narasimha's presence and let the vibration carry you into stillness.
The recording runs for hours, but you don't need all of it — even 21 minutes a day is enough to feel the benefit. Listen for as long as feels right, or let it play gently through the night.
