Meaning

In the beautiful southern city of Sadaṅga, where Lord Shiva shines in divine splendour, adorned with many sacred offerings and blessings, I surrender to Shri Naganath — the one Supreme Lord who grants true devotion and liberation.

About this mantra

This Shiva Nagnath Mantra is a sacred verse traditionally associated with Shri Nagnath / Nageshwar Jyotirlinga from the Dwadash Jyotirlinga Stotram. It praises Lord Shiva as the one Supreme Lord who grants true devotion and liberation. The mantra remembers Shri Nagnath as the compassionate protector, beautifully adorned and worshipped with devotion. The final line, “श्रीनागनाथं शरणं प्रपद्ये,” expresses deep surrender at the feet of Lord Shiva. Listening to or chanting this Shiva mantra is traditionally believed to support peace, devotion, spiritual grounding, protection from negativity, and inner calm. This version is arranged slowly and peacefully for deep sleep, meditation, prayer, and night-time surrender to Mahadev.

How to use it

Play this chant softly as you lie down for sleep, or in the quiet of early morning. Dim the lights, breathe slowly, and let the sound repeat without effort — there is nothing to do but listen. You may chant along under your breath, or simply rest in Shiva's presence and let the vibration carry you into stillness.

The recording runs for hours, but you don't need all of it — even 21 minutes a day is enough to feel the benefit. Listen for as long as feels right, or let it play gently through the night.
