Meaning
O Lord Mahadev Shambho, Ocean of Compassion, please forgive all mistakes I have made through my actions, words, senses, or mind — knowingly or unknowingly. O Shiva, please forgive and protect me.
About this mantra
The Shiv Kshama Mantra, also known as Shiva Kshama Prarthana or Karacharana Kritam, is a deeply devotional forgiveness prayer to Lord Mahadev Shambho, the ocean of compassion. In this mantra, the devotee asks Shiva to forgive every error committed through action, speech, body, senses, and mind. It is a prayer of humility, surrender, repentance, and divine protection. Listening to or chanting this Shiva mantra is traditionally used for spiritual cleansing, inner peace, emotional release, meditation, prayer, and surrender before sleep or during early morning devotion.
How to use it
Play this chant softly as you lie down for sleep, or in the quiet of early morning. Dim the lights, breathe slowly, and let the sound repeat without effort — there is nothing to do but listen. You may chant along under your breath, or simply rest in Shiva's presence and let the vibration carry you into stillness.
The recording runs for hours, but you don't need all of it — even 21 minutes a day is enough to feel the benefit. Listen for as long as feels right, or let it play gently through the night.
