Radha Ashtami
The appearance of Shri Radha
Falling a fortnight after Janmashtami, Radha Ashtami marks the appearance of Radha. In the Vaishnava traditions of Braj she is devotion itself rather than an object of it — the day is kept as a celebration of loving attachment to the divine rather than of a separate deity.

A recommended mantra for this sacred day
Radha is remembered through Krishna's names rather than apart from them, so the Krishna prayer of surrender is the chant this day traditionally leans on.
