Ganesha is installed in homes and pandals and kept as a guest for a few days or many, before being carried to the water. He is invoked at the start of every undertaking — the one asked first, before anything else begins.

Our library does not yet include a Ganesha chant, so we have not attached one. Many households begin the days of his stay with the name of his father, Shiva; you may prefer to keep your own family's customary invocation.
