Yama / family observance
Bhai Dooj
The closing day of the Diwali sequence
Bhai Dooj closes the Diwali days with a family observance: a tilak, a meal, a blessing between siblings. It is traditionally traced to Yamuna receiving her brother Yama, and it is kept at home rather than at the temple.

A chant for this day
This is a household observance rather than a chanting day, so we have not attached a recommendation. If you would like to keep a practice, a quiet round of Naam Jap suits the day better than a festival chant.
Browse the mantra library or keep a round of Naam Jap instead.
